Ellie is the first red and white that I have kept! She and her brother were the entire litter. Her brother is Am GCH/Can CH Shaankata Chrisan Seize The Day BCAT aka Stryker.
Ellie is extremely intelligent and has a very friendly outgoing temperament. She loves squeaky toys, chewing on water bottles and hunting squirrels! Structurally she has an excellent front assembly just like her sire with well laid back shoulders and huge chest and rib spring. She is very balanced, nice mover with an easy care coat!
Ellie started off her show career in April 2016 in Winnipeg but her first weekend out she had to concede to her older ½ brother Bentley – Can Grand Champion Shaankata’s Double The Sins while he racked up points to his Grand Championship. However the next show weekend in Thunder Bay Ellie won two Best of Breeds and two Best Puppy in Groups and a Best Bred by Exhibitor in Group.
Then in June 2016 in Thunder Bay Ellie completed her Championship and won a Best of Breed and a Group 4th under judge Guy Jeavons.
In November 2016 Ellie completed the testing and obtained the title Canine Good Neighbour!
In December 2016 we travelled to Toronto where Ellie again won Best of Breed under judge Guy Jeavons as well as a Best of Opposite Sex under judge Per Kristian Andersen all at the Brantford shows. At the Cocker Spaniel Club of Central Ontario’s specialty show Ellie won Select Bitch under judge Joanne Fernall.
2017 started out in March with Ellie winning another Best of Breed and then in May Ellie completed her Grand Championship with a Best of Breed and a Group 4th. Then in July Ellie won one more Best of Breed.
Ellie was bred to Can CH Shaankata Kataxin Playbill and had a litter of two tri girls, one of which is training for agility.
Ellie was bred a 2nd time to CH Clanagroe Tri Umphant Warrior and had a litter of three boys, one of which I kept CH Shaankata ReddySetGo Clanagroe – see Reddy’s page.
Ellie just had her third litter of three red & white boys sired by Can GCH Nickleodeon’s Life of Riley born on December 30th, 2020.
Ellie has also been started in scent detection work and loves it!
In August 2023 Ellie obtained her Novice Rat title in barn hunt with class placements!
Ellie was a recent recipient of the award of Versatility Dog Intermediate from the American Cocker Spaniel Club of Canada!
In September 2023 Ellie obtained her first let of her Pre-Novice obedience title!
In January 2024 Ellie earned her Novice Trick Dog title!
Ellie is hips OFA good, eyes OFA, patellas OFA and cardiac OFA and thyroid complete panel normal.
